Make this smoothie if you're feeling tired, bloated, or are getting headaches or skin breakouts. It is designed to give your liver a helping hand in its role as Chief of detoxification. It is not a sweet smoothie, you get quite a kick from the ginger!
Recipe type: smoothie, breakfast
Serves: 2
  • 80g fresh kale, washed and chopped
  • 400ml raw coconut water (I used Rebel Kitchen raw organic coconut water)
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and chopped
  • Juice half lemon
  • Thumb sized piece ginger, peeled and finely grated
  • 80g green grapes
  1. Wash and prepare all ingredients.
  2. Add to all ingredients to blender in the order listed. Blend until smooth and serve immediately.
  3. If too thick add coconut water, 1 tbsp at a time to achieve a thinner consistency.
