Munch on one of these pre- or post-workout. They freeze well so should last a while and it's a good way of stopping yourself from scoffing them all as they are pretty moreish!

  • 1 cup almonds
  • ½ cup dried cherries, pitted and tightly packed (I like the urban fruit brand)
  • ½ cup medjool dates, pitted and tightly packed
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  1. Pulse the almonds in a food processor until roughly ground. Add the remaining ingredients and processes until they come together.
  2. Remove from the processor, wet your hands and bring the mixture together into a ball. Then roll it into a sausage shape and divide into ten equal-sized pieces.
  3. Roll each piece into a ball then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Store in the freezer.
